Is iFM a radio?

Nope, your iPhone (or iPod touch) doesn’t have an FM radio built in. iFM is a radio browser, to be used alongside your car, home, or personal radio.

However, our Navigate FM Radio for iPhone and iPod might be just what you’re looking for. It’s an inline remote and FM radio all in one, and it can be directly controlled from the iFM Radio Browser.

If you’re looking for a more lightweight solution, stay tuned — more iFM-based hardware solutions are in the works right now.

Will iFM work in my city?

iFM is loaded with a national list of U.S. radio markets, and uses your iPhone’s core location feature to list stations near you.

Or, if you prefer, you can manually choose a station from its list of presets.

iFM is a live-updating radio browser that lets you see what’s playing on every FM station in your area.

Did you just miss a song? iFM keeps track of the last 5 songs played by any station.
You can also create a custom favorites list to see your favorite stations at a glance.

Just tap on a station to see what song is currently playing.
If you like what you’re hearing, just tap the album art — you can save the song in your Wishlist, or buy it from the iTunes Store.

Like what you’re hearing? iFM also lets you read more about the artist, or see their upcoming tour schedule.

Thanks to iFM’s History and Wish List, you can always go back and learn more about a song.
